Canon EOS 1000D / Digital Rebel XS :

EOS 1000D / Rebel XS نام مدل جدید کانن است که امروز معرفی گردیده و از لحاظ ویژگیها، در حدفاصل EOS 400D و EOS 450D قرار میگیرد. این دوربین اغلب ویژگیهای EOS 400D را داراست و تفاوت عمده ایندو، مجهز شدن EOS 1000D به قابلیت نمایش زنده است. 1000D نیز همانند EOS 400D ، دارای حسگر 10 مگاپیکسلی، عکاسی متوالی با سرعت 3 فریم در ثانیه و مونیتور 2.5 اینچی است و فاقد نورسنجی نقطه ای میباشد ولی از طرفی ویژگیهایی را همچون قابلیت نمایش زنده، Auto ISO، نمایش ISO در منظره یاب، Auto lighting optimizer ، High ISO noise reduction نیز از EOS 450D به ارث برده است.

1000D با هدف ارائه ی دورینی ارزانقیمت و برخوردار از تکنولوژیهای روز ( همچون نمایش زنده ) توسط کانن معرفی گردیده و برای پایین نگاه داشتن قیمت ، برخی از فاکتورهای کمتر مهم، در آن پایین نگاه داشته شده. از جمله این فاکتورها میتوان به اوتوفوکوس 7 نقطه ای ( در مقابل اوتوفوکوس 9 نقطه ای در 2 مدل دیگر ) ، حذف پوشش چرمی روی دستگیره و پشت دوربین، مونیتور 2.5 اینچی همانند 400D ( در مدل EOS 450D ، مونیتور ، 3 اینچی است ) ، منظره یاب کوچکتر از EOS 450D و کمی بزرگتر از EOS 400D و بکارگیری حسگر 10 مگاپیکسلی ( در EOS 450D ، حسگر 12 مگاپیکسلی بکار گرفته شده است ) اشاره کرد.

EOS 1000D ، همانند 450D از کارت حافظه SD و SDHC و باطری Lithium-Ion LP-E5 استفاده میکند
